Simms (Cork and Knockanore, Co. Waterford): On February 12, 2015, peacefully, after a short illness at the Mercy University Hospital, EDWARD (TED), Blackrock Village, late of Benedictus Book Shop, North Main Street and former member of the Legion of Mary. Beloved son of the late Willie and Daisy and brother of the late Oliver. Sadly missed by his cousins the Power family and all the members of the O’Sullivan and the O’Donovan families as well as a wide circle of close friends.

Reposing at O’Connor Bros Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge. Removal on Saturday at 4.45pm to St. Michael’s Church, Blackrock. Requiem Mass on Monday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St. Finbarr’s Cemetery. No flowers by request. www.oconnorfuneralcork.ie
